What's your favorite brand of interior paint to use?

Don't just say Benjamin Moore. I want to know what kind too.

Here's what I've used so far rated best to worst:

1. Benjamin Moore Regal (eggshell) was to shiny and was told anything less than eggshell wouldn't be scrubbable

2.Porter Hi-Hide (eggshell) went on good and good sheen but not very scrubbable.

3.Benjamin Moore Aura (matte) great finished product but dries way to fast. Extra money for extra work

4.Valspar Kitchen and Bath (semi gloss) kept wanting to run

5.Valspar Signature Colors (semi gloss) same as the Kitchen and Bath

6. Kilz Casual Colors (eggshell) paint came off with the blue tape

7. Dutch Boy (satin) incredibly easy to mark up and terrible touch up

I'm thinking of trying Sherwin Williams Duration or Cashmere. Or maybe Porter Silken Touch. Have you used any of these?

Duration is very good but the satin is very shiny, and it is very expensive.

Sherwin williams superpaint is very good also

I've tried Benjamin Moore and Behr - usually the egg shell for my walls and semi gloss for my trim. I was pleased with the results. Then I tried the CIL brand at Canadian Tire (they computer matched my paint chip from Benjamin Moore for me). The paint went on so smooth - it was just a good as the others. It was egg shell for my walls and again semi gloss for the trim.

You never know until you try but just spendig more isn't necessarily going to guarantee a better job. I've tried Ralph Lauren paint - no thanks

I like Para Paint, CIL, and Berh are fine...did not like Ralph Lauren paint...hate Benjamin Moore Aura paint..would not recommend this at all. My whole house is painted in it and it marks easily, does not clean off at all, and chips off easily..my painter did it..I did not chose it..would not recommend it to anyone..but I do agree, that some cheaper brands are excellent paints..and also Beauti Tone paints from Home Hardware are excellent.

Sherwin Williams is all you need to know, all products are high quality and you will be guided to the correct product for your project by people who know what they are talking about. You will notice the difference when you start painting...it covers better, it spreads easily, it blends well and drys quickly.

Sherwin Williams works great if you're using an airless sprayer.

    Don't know about Porter..

I love Behr paint... in eggshell or flat finnish...it usually covers in one coat!
