I got bluetooth headphones for Christmas and now my 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard and mouse are acting up. Why?
My mouse keeps scrolling up on it's own and the keyboard keeps hitting the back arrow on it's own.
The headphones are MOTOROKR S305 and the keyboard and mouse are Microsoft wireless 3000. This started happening as soon as I turned the headphones on. I've tried shutting them off and taking them to the other end of the house and nothing works. I had to get out my original Dell keyboard and mouse. Is it possible to use them both?
2 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoAmazon doubled my order and didn't charge me for it. What should I do?
I ordered 2 items which totaled $26. Today I received 2 boxes with each of them containing my 2 items. My credit card was only charged once. What would you do?
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoIs there any possible way I can get screwed buying my friend airline tickets online?
He wants me to see how much they are and he will give me the money and then I buy them online. Don't the prices change from moment to moment?
Besides the money is there any way I can get into trouble for something he does? Is there any way he will be able to get my credit card number?
4 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoIs there anywhere I can get bath surround panels for a mobile home bigger than 4 x 8?
I need a panel 54" tall x 8' wide. All I can find are 4 x 8 and I don't think I want to put a joint in it.
1 AnswerDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhat's wrong with my central ac?
The furnace fan is running but no cold air is coming out. The outside unit isn't coming on. I switched the breaker on and off. Nothing.
Earlier in the day I was mowing and weedeating around it. Could I have bumped it the wrong way.
What can I do to fix it?
9 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHave you ever painted the plastic trim around a window on an steel exterior door?
Could you walk me through it and tell me what kind of paint you used.
How long ago did you do it and is the paint still sticking good?
2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoHave you had any experience with Tarkett Fiber Floor or any other loose lay vinyl?
I'm getting Tarkett Fiber Floor installed and different installers are telling me different things.
I'm afraid if I loose lay it with no glue it will be bound when I install the trim and transition strips. And I'm afraid of it tearing.
I'm afraid if I glue it then the embossing of the old floor will show through even with a skim coat embossing filler.
What do you think?
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoShould I put the same vinyl floor in the bathroom I'm putting in the kitchen?
The entry ways to each room line up directly across the hall from each other. So you can see both of them at the same time. The hall is hardwood if that matters.
5 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoWhat could've made an electrical wire in my attic burn?
Found a wire in my attic right by the hatch with about 2" of it burnt. I didn't see any bare wire exposed, but pretty close. It's not at a connection. There is a little bit of insulation singed around it.
Maybe I nicked it when I climbed up there a few months ago? Maybe a squirrel or something was gnawing on it? I didn't see or smell anything dead.
Or could it be it's just wired wrong?
I'm pretty worried because it's connected to my smoke detectors that were wired last fall. I have 6 of them and they are all connected to their own separate breaker. So if it starts a fire and shorts them out I would never know.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoIf I use a white stain on red oak will it look pink?
I'm staining a 1 3/8" x 2' x 5' piece of edge glued red oak. I'd like it to be white and have the grain come through but not the color. Any suggestions of what product I should use?
6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhat type of countertop can I cut and router myself?
In my bedroom a section of the wall is built out to give head room for the basement stairs on the other side of the wall. It's about 2' high and the top is 2' x 4'. I was thinking maybe I could buy a scrap piece of something and cut it to size and router the edge myself.
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoMy friend and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in May and they're homeless. What can they do?
She had an apartment with HUD and less than a month after moving in they got evicted because he wasn't supposed to be living there. I guess it's for single mothers. They have to be out Monday.
There are no jobs in the town they're in. They want to get an apartment in a nearby town where there are jobs. They have $500, enough for 1 months rent but no money for deposit.
Neither one of them has there driver's license. His are suspended for another 5 yrs. and she can't seem to pass the learner's permit test. He's also a convicted felon. He seems to be trying to do the right thing now, but it might be too little too late.
What are their options? Do they have any? We live in Columbus, IN.
I tried to tell them to give the baby up for adoption. They said no way. We'll make it somehow.
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhat's your favorite brand of interior paint to use?
Don't just say Benjamin Moore. I want to know what kind too.
Here's what I've used so far rated best to worst:
1. Benjamin Moore Regal (eggshell) was to shiny and was told anything less than eggshell wouldn't be scrubbable
2.Porter Hi-Hide (eggshell) went on good and good sheen but not very scrubbable.
3.Benjamin Moore Aura (matte) great finished product but dries way to fast. Extra money for extra work
4.Valspar Kitchen and Bath (semi gloss) kept wanting to run
5.Valspar Signature Colors (semi gloss) same as the Kitchen and Bath
6. Kilz Casual Colors (eggshell) paint came off with the blue tape
7. Dutch Boy (satin) incredibly easy to mark up and terrible touch up
I'm thinking of trying Sherwin Williams Duration or Cashmere. Or maybe Porter Silken Touch. Have you used any of these?
6 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoWhat's the difference between Valspar Ultra Premium and Valspar Signature Colors?
I picked a color from the signature colors section and wanted it mixed in Ultra Premium. He said it has to be mixed in Signature Colors. They can't down grade their paint.
Have you seen that commercial where it says bring anything into Lowe's and they can match the color. Why can't they match one of their own colors?
2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoDo you think it'd be ok to put window casing over existing casing?
I have 1x4 as casing now. I tried to remove it and it ended up damaging too much of the wall. So do you think it would be ok as long as it's the same width?
7 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoCan I use caulk instead of mud?
Just moved into a house and I'm painting the bedroom. It has a crack in the corner from floor to ceiling where there was no tape used. It has multiple coats of paint and is pretty jagged after scrapping all the loose off. So you think some paintable caulk would be ok? It's actually a gap, not a crack, about 1/8" to 1/4".
6 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoWhat's the best kind of interior latex to use on trim?
I'm not talking sheen. I want to know brand. Like Benjamin Moore Imperveo or Pittsburgh Paints Manner Hall.
7 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoWhat is a good all around shade of white to paint the trim inside my home?
I'm painting the walls a med. dark color (dry leaf - valspar at lowes) and I want to paint the trim white but I don't want it to be really bright white. Can you recommend a good shade of white that will go with any of the other colors in other rooms. Please give me the name of the color and the manufacturer.
