What's the best kind of interior latex to use on trim?

I'm not talking sheen. I want to know brand. Like Benjamin Moore Imperveo or Pittsburgh Paints Manner Hall.

Update:

I want something that will leave no brush marks.

benjamin moore makes a very good paint stay away from the pittsburgh paints or any of that other crap that they sell in the box stores. i am still a strong believer in an alkyd paint for doors and trim it by far will outlast any water based product and it will look like glass. i don't know how anyone can tell you to use foam rollers or brushes when they have no clue what style of doors or trim you have. do yourself a favour and stay away from foam brushes and rollers they are only good for urethane and on a flat surface. if you are able to use a roller on any of it then use one of the new fabric rollers and a top quality brush. when using a new roller always wash it first and allow to dry that way you will get rid of any loose hairs.

Well, pretty much all paints are equal (except for Glidden which is just like applying water - I HATE it!). I very much like Benjamin Moore and I also like Boomerang paints (which are recycled paints - very easy on the wallet).

As for brush marks, if you want even, smooth work, use a sponge roller and you won't have marks at all. For the trim around the trim (LOL), use a foam paintbrush.

This will guarantee no brush marks!

then don't use a brush! using a memory foam roller is the best thing i've ever used for trim -it even covered old brush marks! and my 2 favorite paint brands are benjamin moore and behr[i haven't had good results with pittsburgh]

You need to use an enamel for all your trim and it doesn't matter what brand. And yes use a small foam roller and foam brush to apply the paint.

Any of the name brand paints are about equal. As you have always heard - prep is primary. If the surface doesn't look good before you paint, It won't look good after you paint. Sand and prime first and when you paint use a very good brush.

regardless of brand, you will need oil based on the trims.

    go to sherwin williams.

brush marks have to do with technique not the paint.
