Have you had any experience with Tarkett Fiber Floor or any other loose lay vinyl?
I'm getting Tarkett Fiber Floor installed and different installers are telling me different things.
I'm afraid if I loose lay it with no glue it will be bound when I install the trim and transition strips. And I'm afraid of it tearing.
I'm afraid if I glue it then the embossing of the old floor will show through even with a skim coat embossing filler.
What do you think?

You have a legitimate concern. I ve never recommended a loose lay vinyl because when moving stuff, like just rolling out the fridge to clean it can ( and has) tear it. This won t happen on a full spread adhesive, even though care should be used when rolling the fridge..
Loose layed vinyl is a good product , just that care must be taken to some extent. What your thinking about ( transition strips and such) shouldn t be a problem.
Your second concern of the embossing telescoping through is legit only if an embossing leveler isn t applied correctly. Done properly I ve never seen a problem there.. GL

I purchased Flexitec loose lay flooring from IVC US. It was professionally installed. The flooring has not performed well. It has bulges in several areas and over time it gets worse. The area where the kitchen chairs sit looks terrible as well as the area close to a heat register. The company dangles a 10 or 15 year warranty at you when you buy the product, but they do not honor it. They blame the installer or the store you bought it at, which is absurd. They simply don't stand by their product. Do not buy any IVCUS product.

no. There is no other flooring type that has the design flexibility of ceramic tile or natural stone. There are multiple shapes, sizes, installation patterns and color ways that give ceramic tile and natural stone endless design choices. This is just one of the many benefits of ceramic tile and natural stone. I recommend you to hire professionals.
