Please help bad broken keyboard!?
I cried on it earlier tonight - I'e done it so often before but it's always been fine! Until now. It broke the keyboard (I guess) and now the...letter (using right click copy/paste here) v does not work at all and the shift key on the right only works with certain letters, it doesn't work with b, f, g, r, and t...although lowercase I can type them all.
Is that why it broke? Or is there another reason? I can't hae this happen again it's my only computer and my only keyboard and I can't get a new one until wednesday or so...yes it's under warranty but still, can't do anything until later...
I guess I could steal my Dad's keyboard...he has the one on his laptop and the one he plugs in (both work), and I just hae the one onmy laptop - which isn't working.Space isn't working too welleither. thanks! I can get the computer people to come oer here thankfully.

That might be a reason why it broke. The electrical components under laptop keyboard are very close to the actual sheets that transmit the signal every time you press a key.
You can send it in to get it repaired or you can order a replacement keyboard and do it yourself. The best solutions I have for you are: #1. Get an extra USB keyboard from a friend, plug it in, and use it for now.
#2. Control Panel -> Enable on screen keyboard

That happened to me before but I don't think it would be the crying. If it wasn't a laptop, I would tell you to open it up and check for anything with dust or dirt and stuff but since it's attached to a laptop, it's going to be harder to do. It definitely sounds like a hardware issue and that you could get it replaced which is probably costly but what else can you do?
Well, because my desktop was in the shape of a laptop and it was one of it's kind. It had to cost me like $300 to get it fixed. I just bought an $8 keyboard and attached it via USB instead. You could always do that or use the Onscreen keyboard for now via instructions from the person above me.

You have another option, use the onscreen keyboard !
Go to start>> all programs>> Accessories >> accessibility then click on " Onscreen Keyboard". You can't type on it with your hands but by using your mouse. So you won't have to STEAL your Dad's keyboard.
