How Do I Clean It Myself?

I'm in Hawaii so we use the air conditioner most of the time. I want to clean it (not just the filter but the whole thing) but don't know how. Definitely don't want to pay someone to do it so any advice will be highly appreciated. If it's impossible, maybe I should just buy a new one after a few years.

if you are talking about the outside unit for central air conditioning, that's easy. Open the unit, by removing top or side panels. Take a garden hose to it, and flush out all the debris. There is nothing you can damage with water in there. Hose off the side vents, as they have a tendency to get blocked. The cleaner you keep it, the more efficiently it will run.

    you're right "frozenbr"...thanks

Hey Justin. What exactly hurts, the foreskin or the head? If it's the head that's too sensitive, you should start off with just pouring water on it. Then after a few days rub whatever section of the head you can rub, and gradually over days rub more and more. That'll get it used to being touched, since I imagine that you never bothered to touch the head when you were younger. And of course, feel free to e-mail me from my profile; I went through this when I was younger and once that was fixed, I never had any other problems. Cleaning shouldn't hurt; it takes less than 10 seconds to pull back and rub; it even should feel good!

Dennis's answer is good but turn off the power to it first at the electrical panel.
