How do you create a video intro to a website?

I'm building a website for a class and I think I want an intro for my website that shows a series of photos fading in and out before continuing into the website.

Would I use Flash for this? Any good books, videos, tutorials, whatever is appreciated!

Also, if it helps I'm using Dreamweaver to build it. Thank you so much in advance!

Flash is your best bet, and convert your video to FLV (Flash video).

You can use Moyea web player Pro - http://www.flash-video-mx.com/web-player-pro/

It is a flash video player maker that provides quick and easy solution to add videos to web pages and embed a skinnable flash video player to website.

So you can use the program to add the video intro to your web page, cusotmize the flash video player on your website using the program and upload all the files to your host server. The program is very easy to use, so I think you can absolutely do it yourself.

Yep, you would use flash :)

Check out the link below, it should give you a good idea of what you have to do to embed the flash video.

Dreamweaver has great Flash integration ability since its developed by the same company (Adobe) that develops Flash.
