    C. They are not part of the endomembrane system. I wouldn't say they both have "multiple membranes" in that the mitochondria have two membranes with the inner membrane folded to form cristae. Chloroplasts do have two membranes with stacks of membrane-formed sacks forming the grana.

    So B is slightly incorrect.
