Why don't I give a crap about school?
I know I need to study/do homework but, I can't bring myself to do it. I know it's stupid because my dad is going to be pissed if I fail and he paid for all these classes but, I just can't bring myself to care about school. I hate having to do something. I hate required classes. Why must they be required. Can someone please tell my when the F I will need to know about amino acids and what not. Or when in my life will i have to write a research paper? Honestly. College sucks.

It's always more difficult to enjoy something when the choice if made for you. What is it you would rather be doing?
Try to see the big picture - you are extremely fortunate to have a higher education paid for you - many people never get that kind of opportunity.
If you get any kind of work in education, politics, or even for many positions in the corporate world, knowing how to write a research and write a paper will come in very handy. Learning how to do reasearch and organize your thoughts on paper teaches you critical thinking skills which are useful in all areas of life.
If you are going to be a scientist, nutritionsist, or a doctor, you will need to know about amino acids.
If not, then try to suffer through it and do the best you can and get it over with, so that you can take classes that really interest you.
If you have no interest in higher education, or want to pursue a career that doesn't require a degree, then I would have a heart-to-heart with you Dad and tell him not to waste his money on you.
A lot of jobs just require a college degree in any subject - it isn't the information you learn that employers are impressed with - it is the fact that you were able to apply yourself to something and stick with it for four years that matters.

trust me if you work hard now. I know 10 years seems a mile away but it will come around mega quick believe me! You will qualify for well paid jobs and have money to do things you like and buy stuff that kicks ***. If you are lazy(like i was) you will be skint working in a crap job with a joke of a wage and no holidays and women won't want you coz they would have no security. Do it for yourself dude!

I had that problem in school and college.
I ended up quitting cos I couldn't bring myself to do something
I didn't like any longer.
I do regret it about school (even though there were other problems
what I couldn't really do anything about), but i'm happier now i'm doing
something else.
But I am gonna be hypocritical.
Just push yourself to do better, you'll have loads of options
for later life.

Because if you don't go to college to further your education, chances are you'll be making 10 bucks an hour for a career. Shouldn't that be motivation enough
