How do you grow a coconut tree in Animal Crossing:City Folk for Wii?

It needs to be planted by the sea in dark dirt. Dig a hole on the beach and you'll see that the color of the hole is light brown, it won't grow there. Dig a hole behind that hole and it should be a darker brown, plant it there.

I tried burying a coconut I found laying on the shore of the ocean.I watered it once,but it died the next day.then I think I watered it too much and it died.I could really use some help!

Well I encountered this same problem when I discovered that the coconuts have to be planted right on the shoreline. After that your coconut tree should grow without water. Unlike the other fruit trees, coconuts only grow in bunches of two.

Yes grow them by the beach but, if they're not growing chop down a tree close to the beach and plant the coconut where that tree was. The problem was you were growing it in a bad spot (bad soil or bad lighting). I should grow without being watered.

it needs to be planted on teh actual ground right near the beach. it can't be fully on the beach or else it will not grow. i usually dig a hole that is halfway on the beach and half on the ground and it grows there. you don't have to water it, and watering it too much won't kill it either. it's all about where you bury it.

did you burried it by the ocean cuz if you didnt then thats why the coconut tree died...

you need to plant it by the sea (if you were to put your town into acres it would only be able to be put into the bottom (by the sea) acres)
