Do you ALWAYS wear your seat belt in the car when it is in motion?
I don't but I am making a vow today to do so..I just heard that one of my older best friends were killed in a car accident this morning.. I feel so bad and helpless, so I will make this promise in her honor that I will always wear mine from now on...Please pray for her 3 daughters..I feel she is in heaven,, She was a wonderful ,kind person...How sad for the family.
It was announced just a short time ago. She didn't have her seat belt on and she was close to home. She knew better. She is a nurse..

In our state it is the law to have to wear a seat belt. A couple of weekends ago on Friday 2/13/09 I was bringing my daughter and her friend to their house when I came upon a car wreck. There was no one else in the area except for a couple of neighbors looking around; Where I am going with this is that the person that was in the car we finally found out didn't have her seat belt on and she had a cut starting from the right side of her top scalp all the way across the left chin. Because she didn't wear her seat belt and only being what looked like 16 or 17 she has to live with that scar the rest of her life. If she was wearing her seat belt this would not have happened, oh yeah she also broke her right arm cracked a few ribs on the right side her left knee down to her foot was crush and her back had serious damage to it to. Remember the scar that she has to live with when you get into a car and don't feel like putting on the seat belt on because it doesn't look cool. Which is better 2 sec of harassing or a life time of having to have a scar all the way across your face. And truly I hope this never happens to anyone else in the world

I had one prang if i wasn't wearing my seat belt i would not be here today, the car was a total wreck,my worst injury's where from the seat belt and a sh*t load off cuts on my head from the glass shard's,the roof was caved in,Rht front was mangled,Lft front wheel was gone,Rht rear wheel was gone, the car rolled several times, chaise was twisted, steering wheel was bent fowards
The cops brought my smokes in afterwards once they had been to the site of my prang, they even brought me a box off matche's the tow truck driver was pi*sed off he drove 70 Km's with a tow truck, took one look at the wreck turned around and drove back to town and got a tilt tray truck to get the wreck,i saw the wreck 2 day's later back in Leonora WA (about 700 NE of Perth)
I have lost 2 friends from not wearing seat belts
I am sorry to hear about your loss
But after that i alway's put my seatbelt on now even if it is out in the the bush,or just around the corner to the shop,it doesn't matter

I'm reminded to wear my seatbelt by that annoying "ding-ding-ding-ding-ding", but otherwise I wear it about 70% of the time.
Seatbelts usually save lives, other times seatbelts have been responsible for many deaths as well. While I would personally recommend wearing them, seatbelt laws are flagrantly unconstitutional and exist purely as a form of taxation on the people. Yet, the people have accepted this "law" with little resistance simply because the states have convinced them that "it's for their safety and their own good". Others believe it is because we have lost the ability to keep ourselves safe and think for ourselves, so we need more Communist-Nazi type laws to "help" us by taking large amounts of money from us every time we forget to "be safe". That "Big Corporate Government" cares about us and loves us deeply enough to take our money when we "endanger our lives".
