Is it safe to put clothes that had coconut oil on them in the dryer?

There's a warning on the dryer that says not to put anything that had any type of oil in it (even cooking oil.) I didn't get MUCH on my shirt, though. And I don't think coconut oil has a low flash point. Would it be a stupid thing for me to do?

I would make sure you washed the garment well - perhaps pretreating with a Stain Stick or something along those lines. I don't believe it'll catch on fire, if that's what you're worried about. Worst cast scenario the sugars in the coconut oil weren't completely washed out, will burn in the dryer and leave a stain on your garment. If you're still worried, pretreat it and wash again.
