Instead of the usual chemicals that is in usual face cleansers I would look for a more natural product that actually helps your skin's condition naturally by using fruit, veggie, vitamin, mineral complexes and other naturally beneficial ingredients. I recommend a product named Jason apricot scrub... that is made up of natural ingredients. It leaves your skin so soft, smooth and clear. Best way to tell if something is natural is reading the ingredients on the back. If you can't pronounce something and have no clue what the heck it is it's prob best to find something else.

Okay I have skin problems myself and I have dry/oily skin, sensitive and and moderate and if it is my period it gets pretty bad so I used
neutrogena skin therapy system http://www.dermadoctor.com/product_Neutrogena-Adva... it worked but wasn't strong enough soooo...i discovered Oxy Maximum http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?id=prod... and i've used it for about a week and a half and i have cleared up sooo much and it doesn't dry out skin too much so you can use your normal lotion or whatever you use!
I recammend using the face cleaner for the neutrogena therapy system (the largest bottle) and the Oxy because one has Benzol Peroxide and the other Salicylic Acid.
If you don't want to spend the money use one or the other (OXY!) or drink water and keep your face clean and honestly, cutting out foods and sugars and oily stuff in your meals doesn't help much. You need something that gets in your skin and cleans it. Find something that works for you and don't be afraid to look around online for things that clear up acne...READ THE REIVEWS!!! Knowing what the customer thought of the product gives you an idea of how well it works and if it is worth the money. (ProActive is too strong and dries out skin immensly)
Don't scrub too much because it just aggravates your skin and cause even more break outs. (Personal experience with the Wave) With open pores, dirty cloggs pores creating black head and under the skin acne we know as-White Heads.
Good luck and message me for anyother question!

1. Wash your face at least twice each day, using a pure soap such as Ivory, and clean water. Hot water opens pores, so wash with hot water. Cold water closes pores, so splash your face with cold water after washing to ensure that your pores are protected from the environment. Splash with cold water before applying makeup as well.
2. Reduce the use of cosmetics as much as possible. These clog pores. If you must wear makeup, make sure that you are using hypoallergenic products, or products for sensitive skin. Splash your face with cold water before applying, and make sure you wash all the makeup away before going to bed.
3. Keep you hair and hands off your face. Hair and hands contain oils that can cause acne breakouts. When applying creams or makeup to the face, use applicators - not your hands. Don't lean with your hands on your face either. Keep your hair pulled back off your face.
4. Hydrate the body - and the skin - with water. Hydrated skin is healthy skin. Water helps to detoxify our bodies, and our skin, ridding us of elements that make us ill, as well as elements that can cause acne.
5. Eat a well balanced diet, and make sure that you include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain quite a bit of natural vitamin A and vitamin E, which is essential to good skin care.
6. Don't avoid the sun altogether, because that isn't healthy, but limit your time in the sun, and use a good sunscreen. Overexposure to the sun, or ultraviolet rays, can not only cause acne, but it can cause skin to age quickly. It can also cause skin cancer. Make sure you wash the sunscreen off when you come in from the sun to avoid getting clogged pores.
7. Don't squeeze pimples, or pick at any sores. This can cause the spread of acne, and it can leave scars as well. Instead, treat the pimples and sores with topical ointments and creams, keeping your hands off of them. Use cotton balls or q-tips to apply ointments and creams.
8. Make sure that you get plenty of rest. When we sleep, our bodies basically reset. Hormones and chemicals are produced that are not produced when we are awake. You need at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. Sleep is good for the skin.
9. Stress is bad for the skin. Just as good hormones and chemicals are produced and released when we sleep, bad hormones and chemicals are produced when we are stressed. Avoid stress as much as possible, and learn to do deep breathing exercises, or other stress reducing techniques, for those times when you are stressed.
10. Treat yourself to a day spa once every two or three months for the ultimate skin care experience. Not only is this quite relaxing, it is great for the skin. The spa operators will be able to give you more tips to clear skin.
Tips:
•Drink lots of water (8 glasses a day) to help your skin to be healthy, and try to eat healthy too.
•Make sure your hair is always clean because grease from your finger or the front of your hair could be making your skin oily.
•If you have spots, don't pick them or squeeze them. Leave them alone. However, some zits need to have the cover or "top" to it taken off. But please, don't overdo it. Don't tear up your skin trying to get the top off a zit! If you gently squeeze after doing so, the pus will come out of the zit, unclogging the pore. After you do this, put the cream or gel with the benzoyl peroxide in it on top of where the zit used to be. This can possibly clear a zit right up!
•Try this quick fix for your blemishes! Obtain equal parts water and baking soda, and mix it together! Apply with a regular-size Q-Tip directly on the pimple. Do not rub in. Will dry zit and decrease redness. After mixture is dry, apply a toner/cleanser/moisturizer. This is optional, but can help your skin feel smoother.
•Make a routine. Exfoliate once a week with normal skin, and twice a week for oily. This keeps the skin fresh and helps to reduce black heads. Also try using a facemask once a month.
•If you have oily skin use a bit of vinegar mixed with water, seeing as the vinegar can be too strong. Rinse your face with this mixture 2-3 times a day. May burn around infected areas and zits and/or pimples.
