Didn't Pres. Bush work out a plan to have the troops out?

of Iraq by 2011? Why is Barack H.O. talking like he's "all over it" when this idea is old news?

Yes. But Barry Hussein will take credit for it, that's what the Dems do.

He really had no definitive plans to get out Iraq by 2011. His views were entirely the opposite. He felt that a hard lined timetable would lead to terrorists just waiting it out, then once America left, they would come back and take over the country again. Needless to say that is absolute nonsense, since occupying Iraq is one reason that the insurgents were so vigilant in fighting - they see the United States as "evil" and whatnot, which really, rightfully so, is because we invaded their country and took away what they felt was right. The indefinite occupation merely fueled their contempt against the United States that the insurgents held.

I'm not saying whether it was right to invade Iraq or not, I'm just trying to point out why Bush was wrong in his reluctance to have a hard-line timetable for pulling out of Iraq.

    Hi there,

I just saw your question on "Working for AFLAC". Actually I was wondering if you could give me some tips on the interview process? I am interviewing for them next week in the Chicago office for sales associate position but my experience is all based on accounting so I'm really nervous. What type of questions can I expect? How long was the interview? Thank you for your help.

No - He'd said that the US would probably be there for years due to the **** storm that invading created... As far as I can tell, Obama says pretty much the same thing.

On the other hand, both have talked about *reducing* the number of troops in Iraq, and boosting the number in Afghanistan.

first of all, Bush was very vague about an exact time line. he felt (and I agree) that a time line would empower the enemy. so his time line wasn't completely hashed out. secondly, it is normal for a new president to try and earn the trust of the people through any means so if Obama really is attempting to revitalize an old idea, he's not the first

Actually the Iraqi government VOTED to have the US forces out back in October.

Its only taken Obama 6 months to take credit for it!

pre bush didn't want them leaving and the fact of the matter is if you know where they are leaving wouldn't you the other side prepare to take over if you could. yepper that is why the president didn't say nothign and now we have one that is saying something but hey he could hcange his mind also. hes trying to put us through but you have to wait and see.

Because he's getting them out sooner.

And Bush wouldn't have made that plan if he hadn't known Obama was coming on board.

He wanted to be able to claim credit for getting the troops out of Iraq.

Yeah, he flip flopped after Obama said it and first he argued against it and two weeks later was for it.

Good ol' Flip Flopping Bush the chimp.
