Classic, uncommon boys names?
My son is going to be a father, and we are looking for name suggestions. Some of the names that have been considered, but turned down are Solomon, Gabriel, and Giovanni. The middle name will be Hawaiian, so it won't factor in. (Tradition has a respected family member bestowing the child's Hawaiian name.)
Many of you are on target.
Herbert is my grandpa, William is my son's middle name, his brother's name is Patrick.
I like Josiah, Caleb and Noah.
I'm going to share with my son when he gets home. Then we'll chose best answer. Thanks everyone for the names.

The ones you thought about sound biblical- what about Noah, Caleb, Josiah?
My personal names I want for my boys someday are Trey & Jordan but those aren't that uncommon..
Just don't pick one of the new popular names- like Aiden, Jayden, Brayden because in 20 years they will be the new "John" and everyone will have them.
My friend just named her son Jaxson, I like that.

I really like "Josaiah" as a name. 1) because it's biblical 2) because its classic 3) and it's not over used.
My next favorite would be "Elijah" 1)Its also biblical 2) It's nickname, Eli, is very cute. 3) It is a name that is not too over used.
