Women would had their "period" while pregnant?

I have read a lot on here recently about people getting their "period" and yet still be pregnant.

My question is, how did you find out you were really pregnant?!?

Update:

Last month, my period was three days late. I took a test around 5:30 pm and it came back negative. An hour later my period started, but it was light and lasted only 4 days. My cycle is usually 7. This month I started spotting the day my period should have arrived (Thursday) and here almost a week later, I just started bleeding. It's not heavy or anything. I put a light tampon in and only had to change it once so far.

For me: I was changing one night and noticed that my breasts were bigger - I had MUCH more cleavage than usual. Then I looked down and noticed that I had a little 'bump' and my pants had left a bad red line across my stomach (I am petite and HAD a small waist so it was really noticeable). I thought, 'this is strange, I must be gaining some weight'. Then thought, 'no way'. Then I went across the street to the drug store and to my surprise - the test was positive! I went to the doctor the next week and found out I was already 12 weeks along!

yes, in a way they get their period still. it could be the uterus thinning out or just spotting blood.

the way i found out i was pregnant was not becuase of an over the counter test((both were negative))

i went to a pregnancy clinic ((it was free)) to find out forsure if i was or wasnt.

its not common but it happens i used to spot blood all throughout with my first child, you know you are pregnant when your stomach bloats, when your breast feel tender and hurt, you want to vomit and feel faint , most women have an instinct when they are pregnant, but its not too common women have a full period when pregnant
