I have been trying to create an account on Youtube for the last hour.?

TRUST ME!! its normal...THERE ARE SO MANy people who have youtube accounts that almost every name imaginable is taken...Finally, i got so fed up that i just used my first middle and last name..Good luck find an available name though

Often times it should have an option around the username location that will tell you if the username is available or not. look for it first and see if there is one . if not i would suggest something from your fav. show or other hobby and a dash in it or a number so as to help with security. sometimes it won't work but try really out ther things like maybe a foreign name or something that wold be easy for you to remember like i often put samuri-sheath or something like that try multiple things like that i am sure you will get one to work.

chances are, you're not doing anything wrong. All of the names you're choosing are taken if it says unavailable. It took me awhile to find one that wasn't.
