Should mother view ultrasound before abortion?

A new law that's being considered by several states is that abortion facilities offer the images of the sonogram that is already provided before an abortion to the mother. Most mothers who see the live baby inside them decide not to have an abortion after viewing the sonogram. Should this law be passed?

Update:

The law does not force the mother to view the image. It only forces the abortion doctors and staff to offer the mother to view the image.

Update 2:

Abortion facilities currently go out of their way to not let the mother see the images and also have refused to show them to the mother when she asked.

Update 3:

As part of the testimony in Texas, women who have had abortions claimed that the doctors refused to show them the images of their babies before the abortion when they asked for them.

I think they should make them study the picture. They should have to name it also. Anyone who gets an abortion might ask for forgiveness but will still have to face god for killing her own (and his) child.

If they cant keep their legs closed, they don't get to choose between life and death.

A decision should only be made between a woman and her physician. I am totally against a law forcing any facility to offer to show sonogram images to a woman who is pregnant. What proof do you have that any abortion facilities are refusing to allow the patient to view the sonogram after she requested to see it? That's what these "right to Lifers" are all about, force!

    No, its not fair.

just because you guilt the mother into changing her mind doesn't make it her choice.

I would not force a 13 year old to have a baby.

Nor would i try to convince a 13 year old to have a baby.

Her body, her life, her choice.

I dont think abortions should be as readily available as they are, they certainly aren't a form of birth control. But i find it a little ridiculous that a bunch of strangers think they can make that life-altering decision for a woman.

it shouldn't be passed, being that a sonogram is ALREADY done prior. the woman should be able to look if she wants to, but she SHOULD NOT be forced to look if she declines. that is called emotional blackmail and it is wrong.

Nope, if the mother wants to see the ultrasound let her otherwise don't force it on her. The last thing the world needs is women being guilt tripped into having babies they don't want, we're overpopulated as it is.

I like it; but if she doesn't have to see it, what is the difference from the current state? Availability of something you won't use?

Yes, it should. They need to see what's going on in there. They seem to be under the delusion that it's just a blob of tissue, what do they think they are made of.
