Most comfortable high heals?

I would like to wear heals more, but I am not used to walking around in them all day. I'm a bit heavier, so they need to have a study stacked heal (not stiletto) for me to feel stable. I don't want anything chunky, just sturdy.

I'm in my late 20's so I have the bucks to start investing in a few shoes to keep for the next 5-10 years. What designers have the most comfortable heals. Size 9.5 - 10

Hey we wear the same size. I love women who know how to dress, good for you. These are my favorite brands for cute comfortable heels:

    BCBG

    Steve Madden / Madden Girl

    Mootsie Tootsies

    Nicole Miller

    Chinese Laundry

Payless ( not all but some)

    I hope this helps!

I have a Lady Friend who is in "fashion merchandising" and she told ME that height is critical and is completely dependent on your shoe SIZE to be comfortable. A woman of 5'4" MIGHT be able to wear a 3" heel but only if she was wearing a size 11 shoe! The thing is, the angle of the shoe is critical for comfort. A woman of 5'4" will top out with a 3" heel while a woman of 5'10" might easily wear a 4" heel without tottering. Shoe size is the thing, the larger the shoe size, the higher heel you can wear. My Lady Friend (5'11", 140#, shoe size a woman's size 12) bought her heels at The Leslie Shoe Company, aka, http://www.sexyshoes.com/

It's not so much the designer as it is what type of shoe to buy. You can still have height, just buy heels that have a platform, that way you are stable and secure and still can have height. Since you are not used to walking in heels, I would suggest starting out with 2" heels.
