Natures Miracle stain and oder remover enzyme cleaner is the best!
Look for the white bottle with red lettering and red cap.
My sister had puppies in military housing that were messing in the house and when they had to turn the house back over when they moved she cleaned all the carpets with this and passed the inspection first go.

I will echo white vinegar ... but I will also say that depending on what's been used on the carpet before in attempts to clean it, the stain might be beyond help.

You can either use a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water and spray the carpet.
Afterward, sprinkle baking soda on top of the solution.
