Why do they call them gay when there not happy, with there life why not go back to queer again or hetrophobes?

Update:

Yes I do know gay people and grew up with some . They took the word meaning happy and changed it . Do I hate them no I dont I feel sorry for some of them .Two guys i grew up with are both dead1 from AIDs and the other natural but early . so now if they want to call straight s homophobes I think they are hetrophobes

You seem a little confused about the English language, in that you don't understand the natural and constant process that is language change and that you don't know the definition of "homophobe", at all. We don't call straight people homophobes. We call people with prejudice against or fear of homosexuality homophobes.

I'm sure plenty of homosexuals are very happy with their lives.

I bet you've never knowingly talked to a gay person. Our gay friends are very happy, mainly because they aren't living a lie. Which is more than I can say for bigots, who hate others because they truly hate themselves.

What makes you think they're not happy? I don't think they fear heterosexuals.
