Which players would you keep? (Fantasy Baseball)?

First you take the best players, who are Fielder and Soriano. I'm all about position scarcity, so after that I take R-Mart and Roberts. For the last two, I'd address stat needs, which at this point would be AVG and steals. To address those I'd take Ordonez and Ellsbury, respectively.

This would be assuming the standard 5 hitting categories. You would have holes in the thin SS and 3B positions, so those would be high priorities at the draft, as would, of course, pitching.

Don't keep Russel Martin unless Soto and McCann are both being kept. Don't keep Jeter because he isn't a good fantasy player. Don't keep Youkilis because you have Fielder at first and third base is a deep position. You can get A-Rod or Wright if you have a high pick in the first round (depending on if they were kept).

Fielder- keep home runs and rbi's

Magglio- homers and average, obp

Brian Roberts- steals and some power at times

Youkilis- average, obp, rbi

Bay- did well in Boston in half a year, see what he can do for a year

Martin- goos catchers are hard to come by

Johan Santana, J.J. Putz, Matt Holiday, and Manny Ramirez. Pitching will be very competitive this year so keep Putz and Santana. Manny Ramirez will get you a high RBI amount probably this year because he has improved. Matt Holiday will get you a lot of runs and RBIs.

The ones You should keep are:

Kevin Youkilis because he led the red sox in Homeruns and he can do it again

Jacoby Ellsbury: Because he led the league in Stolen bases and he can hit

Derek Jeter: Because he always has a good season

And Jason Bay: Because ever since the red sox got rid of Manny he stepped in and filled in hes not as much as a power hitter as manny but he gets alot of hits and he can steal

RMart, Roberts, Ordonez, Ellsbury, Youkilis and Jeter.

Because I want to see Fielder, Soriano and Bay availible in our league draft :-P
