Is Bobby Jindal the sacrificial lamb for the Republican party?

As a joke, back in November, The Onion used the headline "Black Man Given Nation's Worst Job" to report that Obama had won the election. In case I need to explain the joke to you, it has something to do with how bad the economy is and how he is the first black President of The United States. As if to say, the only reason he won was because it's now the worst job he could get.

But think about it, what's the real worst political job in America? Could it be the spokesperson for the Republican party.

Job requirements:

Explain to America why we should "Stay the course" with the failed polices of the last eight years.

Be the second act whenever The President makes a speech and try and be as eloquent as Barack Obama.

It sounds like to me, if you take that job it would be political suicide.

It seems to me that the GOP is desperately trying to figure out why the Democ's did so well in the last election cycle and why this president is so loved by the people. Because Hilary Clinton was showing such strong numbers during the pre-primaries, the GOP toss in a woman VP--not realizing that it wasn't merely because Hilary was female that she did so well. Now that we have a president of color, the GOP is pushing forth their guy of color who pulled himself up by his boot straps. The GOP doesn't seem to realize there's something deeper going on here.

Jindal's rebuttal speech was a kind of surprise to me. I've heard him speak at other times and thought he could be a real contender in the future but his rebuttal speech seemed to be based on ideologies that haven't been working and that the American people made it very clear they were fed up with this past election; why he thought it would work in his speech is a puzzle to me. And I found his presentation very very condescending, like he was talking to a third grade class of children who weren't familiar with the "grown up" terminologies. It was very demeaning to those of us who listened. This guy can speak eloquently so this particular speech of his was just a very very odd one, like maybe he really didn't want to do it but was threatened with his political future if he refused. I do think the GOP is in a very confused state of being right now and really needs to take a long hard look at what America now is.

I think it is because he has a proven track record of getting jobs done. We have known this man for some time now, like Micheal Steele, if you listen to conservative talk radio, you would have heard about this man way before Obama was running for president. Same as Sarah Pallin, we all knew them long before the traditional media did. So now we are supposed to be putting up some sort of front, just because the Liberals all of a sudden elected a black president. NOT!!!!
