question for people with infants and toddlers?
my 3 month old son seems very fascinated by my 2 1/2 year old daughter. He's always smiling when she is near him, and he laughs at everything she does! I think it's adorable! Do your infants have the same reaction to your toddlers?
also my daughter loves to help me when my son cries, for example she'll give him his pacifier or ask to hold his bottle while he eats. Do your toddlers like to help you out too?

Oh my goodness, your 2 1/2yo sounds just like my 3 year old daughter. She also loves to help me out and even offers to help unload the dishwasher. She makes her own breakfast every morning (rolled oats and milk) and even asks if her baby sister wants the same. My 3 year old and her youngest sister, 17 months are as thick as thieves. My 3 year old was the only one who could get her to laugh and keep her happy when mummy was taking too long preparing her dinner. I'd always call out, "Hey Kymberlie, can you come make your sister happy please while mummy gets her dinner ready?" and out running she would come and she was successful 9/10 times unless my youngest was teething really badly. It is cute isn't it when they are helpful, definitely keep up the praise to your 2 1/2yo and tell them how happy it makes you when they help. I hope she continues to be your little helper around the home :-)

Amber's the same way! We went to my friends to celebrate xmas and she had her whole family there and there were about 10 kids ranging from 2-14 and they were just running all around the house Amber who was 4 months at the time was so excited to watch everyone go around her and run around the house that she didn't nap the whole day from all the excitement!
My friends 2 yr old is also starting to warm up to my daughter now that she can sit by herself and actually some what play with her and she freaks right out when she cries and trys to give her her sippy cup or brings her a toy...it's so sweet!

We currently have a 21 month old, but when he was a baby, he loved to see other kids. He would always laugh and find a lot of interest in what they were doing. The older he got, the more discontent he was sitting in our arms and we could tell that all he wanted to do was play with the other kids.
We now have another on the way and I hope that our son will help with our newborn the way your daughter has. It sounds like you have a very good thing going with your children.

I have a 4 month old and a 2 year old! It's so cute, the baby watches fascinated by the 2 year old, laughing at her and jumping her exersaucer as she watches my oldest run around. My toddler loves to get diapers and help pick out her clothes and help snap her buttons, it's so cute.
Lol, of course you can't leave them alone, the toddler takes off the babies clothes or tries to "help" by herself, which usually ends in tears.

yeah my daughters are the same i have a daughter who only just turned two and a daughter just gone on 8 months and the youngest follows my 2yo everywhere and laughs at her and is always copying her and touching her face. Its adorable. My 2 yo loves it but has moments where she just wants to play alone. But my 2yo loves helping me feed her little sister and bath her and dress her its like a lifesize doll to her i think. I think its the most wonderful thing to watch your children play and laugh together. its amazing

properly, i think of any toddler or small newborn could desire to be traumatised with the aid of the loud noises in a action picture tutor playing any sort of action picture.... and it is not counseled that toddlers under 2 get any sort of 'show time' in any respect so it somewhat should not be a controversy first of all. And, there's a difference between 'letting' your babies watch such video clips and 'forcing' them to. Forcing your newborn to pass without dinner is abusive, yet permitting them to elect to no longer eat it reason they say they are not hungry or do no longer elect what's being served is totally suited. even nonetheless, observing horror video clips at homestead, I strongly doubt that babies may well be lots laid low with it. to initiate out with, their optical nerves have not stepped forward completely, so they does no longer be 'seeing' any of the frightening photos because it have been, normally blurs and shapes and colors. 2d of all, they are too youthful to technique what's occurring interior the flicks - to them, each and every little thing from a 'frightening' scene in a Disney action picture to Friday the thirteenth is going to seem an identical (a gloomy-coloured, ominous-sounding mess, in reality). as properly, their interest spans are very short, so returned, a frightening scene from Lion King a frightening scene from a horror action picture are not going to be differentiated. So, at an identical time as an toddler should not be 'observing' television in any respect, I see no difficulty in them being interior an identical room as an person observing a horror action picture. babies, as i discussed earlier, additionally should not be observing television in maximum cases, and in basic terms approximately easily should not be observing horror action pictures. even nonetheless, in comparison to babies, they are greater responsive to what's occurring, yet what they discover frightening may well be what adults think of a newborn woudl discover relaxing - a individual in a crayola crayon gown, ronald mcdonald, and a newborn lamb are between the various inexplicable issues that terrified me or my siblings or pals as babies. So, mothers and dads could desire to easily be specific to video show television with their infants in maximum cases at that age, and turn the channel if the newborn will become uncomfortable. possibly the main needed element to rigidity at that age, inspite of what the youngsters are observing, is that television is all faux... possibly, sarcastically, it incredibly is why i replace into in basic terms ever petrified of issues in genuine life.

My nephew is like that with his 7 yr old cousin. She just has to enter a room and he's all smiles.

Children love other children. It's normal for babies to be fascinated by other children, and it's normal for big sister/big brother to want to help baby! They want to be like their mommy!
