look for the name of science fiction movie?
I can only recall an old scfi movie from many years ago on TV, where two brothers. One was a handycap and the other very athletic. The human race was at a point of development where they were only selectiing the most perfect of the humans in order to start over again on another world. I remember something in the movie where they used finger prick for blood sample as a form of ID.
can anybody help me out with the name of this movie?

And it stars Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke and Jude Law.

The basics of the plot is that Ethan Hawke's character is born with a heart defect, which in the future earth means that he won't be able to be anything more than a cleaner. Through connections he gets in touch with Jude Law's character who, before his tragic accident, was an olympic gold medalist and one of the perfect people. With Jude Law donating blood, hair etc, Ethan hawke is able to pass off as one of the perfect people so as to be able to fulfill his dream of being an astronaut.
The finger pricking scene is how they get inside the Space Centre.
