***What breed of horse is in the Clint Eastwood "Spaghetti Westerns"?***?

They have a high stepping gait, a high-held head with a thicker neck base and slight arch. They remind me somewhat of a Paso Fino, but I don't think that is what they are - anyone know what the breed is?

Considering that the Clint Eastwood "Spaghetti Westerns" were shot in locations in Spain in the 1960's, when Peruvian Pasos were virtually unknown, I think it's a good bet that the wrangler who supplied the horses for the films went with "local talent" and used horses that were Andalusians or Andalusian types. (These were seriously low-budget movies, so I doubt the horses used were purebred anythings.)

Could be andalusian. Probably some sort of spanish breed anyway. Lusitano, Andalusian, Paso, Peruvian, etc. etc. I'm not really sure.

By the look& color of these horses used they were BARBS a bred part Arabian & Andalusian, characteristic of this horse is the short Arabian body with the style of the Andalusian.

They looked like andalusians. Barbs and pasos are generally smaller breeds seldom more than 15 hands. The horse Eastwood was riding was every bit of 16 maybe 16.5 hands.

is it Peruvian Paso? or maybe andalusian. probably not a rocky mountain horse since you said it's a thicker neck... my best guess is peruvian paso. i used to ride them and they're fun :)
