Louisiana Income Tax Help...?
I already submitted my Louisiana Income Tax return, but I decided to make some IRA contributions for 2008 that were not considered on my filing. How can I ammend my state (Louisiana) income tax to reflect this change and get my respective tax return? I will appreciate your help.

You file a second IT-540 and put an X in the "Amended" Box.
See instructions:
AMENDED RETURNS
If you file your income tax return and later become aware of any changes you must make to income, deductions, exemptions, or credits, you must do the following: (1) file an amended (corrected) Louisiana return for the tax year being amended; (2) include an explanation of the change(s); (3) include a copy of the federal amended return, Federal Form 1040X, if one was filed; and (4) clearly mark an “X” in the “Amended Return” box on the face of Form IT-540. NOTE: Do not make any adjustments for refunds received or for payments made with the original return. This information is already on file.

I live in Texas and I paid property tax. I do pay Oklahoma income tax of royalty for oil/natural gas mineral rights. Not pleased about that since I don't live in OK. Not sure about Texas having the best roads in America.
