2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland wont start?
I got in my Jeep today, started it up and drove to the end of my road (100-200 feet) realized I had forgotten something so I put it in reverse and backed up to my house, parked it in front of my house, got out and ran inside for a couple minutes, came back out and got in and the Jeep wouldn't start. And when I say wouldn't start I mean the engine wouldn't even try to turn over, just a click and total nothingness. THe gauges and electronics were working (i.e radio, information center, etc). I tried to jump start it but that didn't do anything. I let it sit for about an hour and tried again and still nothing but a click. I am wondering if the starter is bad but it seems odd that it wouldn't have a problem starting even once and then all of a sudden the starter was totally shot.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
I don't think it can be the battery because all the lights and electronics work without it running.

If your battery is over 4 years old, don't even bother having it tested. Just replace it with a new battery and clean the battery cable connectors as shown in the video below. If the battery is newer, then disconnect the battery cables and clean them and reconnect them.
