How can I fix this and stop this error from coming up? Dell computers, Windows?

Okay, my computer is stupid and doesn't work all that often, but before even when most of it didn't work, my Sims 2 game (with seven expansion packs) worked fine.

Now though, this error keeps coming up after I load a neighborhood, and I can't play it, which depresses me. (And it's expensive! Seven expansion packs really adds up!)

The error is this large blue screen and says something along the lines of "Not_more_or_less"

And it doesn't only come up on the Sims game.

Recently I took the PC into Best Buy and they supposedly fixed it, but apparently something's messed up again.

(This might be important too: Three of the expansion packs I installed very recently. Should I uninstall them?)

Please help me, I'm getting really frustrated and I don't know what to do anymore!

Update:

It does help!

I'll check my anti-virus stuff like you said, and I'll definitely back my stuff up (if I don't I'll probably end up losing everything. XO)

Thanks! Ten points goes to you, Answerer #1!

Hmm, a large blue screen error message, known in the Tech world as a 'blue screen of death' usually isn't the best sign.

That said, those error messages are quite common, especially amongst older systems. it means that there is an error in memory, this could be, either physical (hardware), or virtual (software).

It is hard to define what exactly the problem is. It is a general problem, but it could have a very specific cause.

It you haven't done so already, backup any files you would like to keep, just in cause. If you have installed any drivers or updates of that nature, perhaps you should rollback to previous version. Or if you haven't,then look for updates.

Run anti virus software! And make sure it is up to date!

I hope this helps you in some way. ^_^
