  • Who's the rookie in Bleach?

All righty, a few weeks back in the dubs Aizen-sama used the Hyogoku thingy, I believe, to make a new Arrancar or something to that extent. He was blond, just kinda gurgled, and was so cute! What's his name? He came to Karakura Town with Luppi, Yami, and Grimm and went up against Squad Ten - sorta.

    Help would be appreciated! <3

  • Can you give me a direct link to a good website with the meanings of Japanese names, please? (First and last)?

Okay, my PC is refusing to cooperate and won't let me use any search engines, so I come to you!

I'm looking for a good website that will give me the meanings of Japanese names, first names and surnames. The first answerer with the best site wins the ten points, of course.

    Thank you in advance! ^-^

  • Is it just me, or do these anime characters look a lot alike?

Okey dokey, so there's Shinji from Bleach and Mello from Death Note. I don't know if it's just me or what, but I think they look A LOT alike.

Then there's these two guys. The first is Lloyd from Code Geass (<3), and the second's name I do not know. He was on Bleach last week, fighting Uryuu. He had white-ish hair in Lloyd's style, and had glasses. Sorry I don't know his name! But I'm just curious to see if anyone else thinks they look alike, or if I'm just insane. O_0

  • What are some good virtual communities?

I'm in the mood to play some more virtual community games, but the only ones I know of are GaiaOnline and Roliana. I like GaiaOnline a lot, so I'm looking for something a bit like that. I didn't like the look of the avatars on Roliana.

I'd prefer world/community thingys with avatars, and some sort of monetary system (of course).

If you could recommend some sites for me to check out, I'd be very grateful!

  • Hitler was not the greatest military genius ever, am I right?

I just had a conversation with a friend of mine, and we got into a bit of a...er...disagreement. Not only did she say that Communism was the way to go, she also said that Hitler was the greatest military genius in history. Please post examples the prove my point that he was NOT, and that he may as well have been one of the more foolish ones.

Also, please state whether you think any of the following were better strategists than Hitler was.

    Churchill

    Sherman

    MacArthur

    Grant

    Washington

    Lee

    Sun Tzu

    Napoleon

(I think that some of them might not be certified to be considered military strategists, but please bear with me, as I am working off of about three hours of sleep and my memory isn't the best.)

  • Where is Adult Swim at for Bleach dubs, and which episodes were on last week?

Last week on Adult Swim, I fell asleep when I was finally getting in to Bleach. Can someone please tell me which two episodes were on last Saturday, midnight I believe?

Ichigo and the ample-chested girl and the large guy were back in class, if that helps at all. And a girl with shaggy black hair was able to see Ichigo's skull - the one that no mortal is supposed to see?

Please help me! I really liked those episodes, but I fell asleep for them.

  • How gorey is Battle Royale - the film?

I just learned about Battle Royale from a friend last week, and I really want to see it. However, I read the summary on Wikipedia and it sounds really, really gorey, despite the fact that it also sounds really good.

Is there an English subbed version?

    If so, what's it rated?

Is it as gorey as I think it is?

  • Please! Does anyone dislike Lelouch Lamperouge/Zero even a little bit? A tiny bit? Please! Anyone? At ALL?

Please, I am begging you people! Does anyone dislike Lelouch Lamperouge/Zero from Code Geass even a little bit?

I loathed him for the entire first season because he was too cocky and crazy and heartless for my tastes, but I swear, I must be the only one on the planet because I NEVER see one word against him!

Yah yah yah, I know y'all love Lulu, and I know y'all think he's bad-***, but...

I don't know! I like him now (only after seeing how much he cared about Shirley - don't say otherwise, or else I'm gonna end up moving him to my most hated characters list again! Please don't make me do that. I've written too much nice FanFiction about him already that I don't wanna delete. ^-^) but...didn't anyone EVER dislike him? Even a wee bit?

Remember the brutal murder of Euphie...

Remember that he's killing his siblings - SIBLINGS!

(Come on, ya just don't do that people!)

    Please answer!

And if you wanna go on about how much you hate me for hating Lulu, just email me, okay? Don't put it on here! Common courtesy folks, though I will admit that my question here isn't really entirely nice, and I apologize for that.

    My email is ilovejohnnydepp1492@yahoo.com

(Hehe, it's...uhm...old, to say the least.)

  • What is the name of the song that is used as the first (only?) theme song for Elfen Lied?

Okey dokey. I just found Elfen Lied last week, and I love it, even though it makes me whimper and cringe in terror. However, I can't help myself - my favorite part is the opening theme. That song is soooo beautiful! Does anyone know what it's called? You will have my eternal gratitude if you can tell me the name and artist...!

    Thanks so much!

    2 AnswersComics & Animation1 decade ago
  • Can you help me find out the name of this song? It sounds like it's 60's-ish and it was on the Oldies Station?

Something along the lines of "Lemme tell you 'bout the way she walks, the way she talks, and the color of her hair..."

The only part I'm positive of is the hair part, but anyway...

If you can give me the name and/or artist of the song you win ten points! I really liked the song and wanna get it for my iPod ASAP, so first correct answer gets the points.

    Thank you!

  • Who is this Code Geass character I'm thinking of?

I can't find out what his name is!

He's a boy, and he's adorable. He's got red/pink-ish hair and is usually by Schneizel's side. I think I remember him saying something a little bit like being Schneizel's lover, but I could be making things up. (He didn't say it, from what I recall, but it was implied.)

He also comforted Nina when Shirley died. He told her that if she was crying, it meant she was okay.

Please help me, I can't think of what his name is!

(Also, a picture would be nice, but is not necessary.)

  • What does this mean? It's really contradictory, is it a translation error or something else entirely?

Okay, this IS in the right section, it's page from a manga. The manga is Ayu Mayu, and here's the link.

    www.onemanga.com/Ayu_Mayu/17/07

First panel, reading right to left of course.

"Nayu is a MEEK girl who grew up in America and...she is so BOLD"?

Meek and bold are antonyms, aren't they?

Is it supposed to be like an oxymoron or paradox or something, or is it just a screw-up in translation? (I doubt it)

    Please help, I'm confuzzled.

    =)

  • How can I fix this and stop this error from coming up? Dell computers, Windows?

Okay, my computer is stupid and doesn't work all that often, but before even when most of it didn't work, my Sims 2 game (with seven expansion packs) worked fine.

Now though, this error keeps coming up after I load a neighborhood, and I can't play it, which depresses me. (And it's expensive! Seven expansion packs really adds up!)

The error is this large blue screen and says something along the lines of "Not_more_or_less"

And it doesn't only come up on the Sims game.

Recently I took the PC into Best Buy and they supposedly fixed it, but apparently something's messed up again.

(This might be important too: Three of the expansion packs I installed very recently. Should I uninstall them?)

Please help me, I'm getting really frustrated and I don't know what to do anymore!

  • I'm confused, when did this change and who's bright idea was it?

Okay, now recently I've been barely following the news. Just a little of my attention has been captured in the mornings when I'm half asleep, but something stuck out.

I was under the impression that we, as the US, did not converse with terrorists or the like, such as North Korea. So why is it that our government's Secretary of State is speaking to North Korea? When did that 'no negotiation' policy change and why?

Who decided we should speak to them?

  • A question about the honorifics in Fruits Basket?

    I don't understand the honorifics.

Why do they call Tohru Tohru-kun instead of Tohru-chan?

Why does Momiji call Shigure Shii-chan?

Why does Tohru call Arisa and Saki by their surnames (Uo-chan and Hana-chan?)

I don't quite understand the reasoning behind it. I had thought that chan was used primarily for girls, and kun for boys.

    Where am I mistaken?

  • Can you help me remember the names of these cartoons?

This was about a robot kid, and he had a crush on a girl with braces if I remember correctly. And I distinctly remember one episode where he was solving a Rubick's cube very quickly, and some bullies swapped the stickers so he couldn't solve it.

The bullies were the main antagonists.

The robot kid went to school, if that helps.

The other one is about this kid that, in my memory, reminds me of Sherman (Rocky and Bullwinkle). The kid was in the future with a clean-freak robot and a big buff idiot. They did time travelling and stuff, and I remember that once they met the lady from the Mona Lisa (she had bad teeth) and George Washington Carver (he made peanut glue instead of peanut butter) to help them not screw everything up for the future.

They were both on Cartoon Network, and I'd really appreciate it if you could help me!

If you need any more details, just email me at ilovejohnnydepp1492@yahoo.com.

I know that the descriptions are kinda vague and rambly.

  • What can I do about my puppy? (Not really a puppy)?

Okay, she really isn't a puppy, she's a few years old, but just as I call my eight year old cat 'my wittle kitten', I call her a puppy.

Anyway, I love her to bits, but my dad likes to keep her tied up because she's really hyper. I'd like to spend more time playing with her, but I'm not the most athletic person and she wears me out. And she's been getting thin lately. I told my mother, and she said that it's not that we don't feed her (I know we do, and I always sneak her something) but it just because she's so full of energy and runs around so much.

Anyway, what I'm asking is: What can I do to spend more time with her that doesn't involve me doubling over and gasping for breath?

  • Is it possible to lose a birthmark?

Okay, this is weird, I know, but just hear me out please?

Alright, I had a bug bite on my hand, and it was right next to (I mean REALLY next to it) a birthmark (raised). I picked at it absentmindedly, and the birthmark started to bleed because I had accidentally scratched it open. Now it's been scabbing up a bit, and I'm worried: Is it possible that the birthmark is gone now? The bleeding started right in the middle, and I don't want there to be a scar or something dead center.

  • Where can I find this event in the Bible?

Alright, I'm not very religious, so that's my explanation for this vague description.

I remember once that I heard a story from the Bible but it was a vague run-down and I'd like to hear more about it.

Okay, there was a woman that was lusted after by some guy, a prince or something high up I think.

Anyway, he got sick or something (he may have made himself sick from not being able to have the woman or something) and said that he wanted that woman to come and make him some bread. So he made her come and make him some bread, but he made sure they were all alone (he sent the servants away).

Then the guy raped her, and then killed her I do believe because he couldn't take what he had done.

(I think it was bread that he wanted her to make, I'm not exactly sure. I know he wanted her to come help him though, and I know he raped her.)

If you could tell me, thanks so much! It's just kinda random because I've been thinking about this for a week or so now, and I'm getting frustrated because I can't fathom where it would be. I think it's in the Old Testament, but I don't know much about the Bible, so I could be very wrong.

  • Would this be weird and/or frightening for you?

I'm fourteen, in the ninth grade. Two years earlier, when I was twelve, I hated Battle of the Books, and told my mom I was going to quit. She made me stick with it because she said it would look good on college applications. I was twelve for crying out loud!

Also, years and years ago when I told her I thought I wanted to go to MIT, she said that she'd like it if I went to Temple, which is where she went, so there isn't much room for discussion.

So anyway, what I'm asking is, is it weird for a mother to talk to her child about college applications six years ahead of time? I mean, aren't mothers usually the ones that tell you that your childhood is the time in your life to have fun? College applications don't sound fun....
