Is it just me, or do these anime characters look a lot alike?

NO...!! you are not crazy.... that is right about hair color sometimes is only difference (like Clannad for example)...but I remember in the Inuyasha movie.... when Sango and Kagome were in hot tub together.. I could not tell who was who in that scene !! o_0

probably because you are watching the same Genre all the time. I didn't see a blonde girl with pig tails in No.6, Guilty Crown, Neon Genesis, Elfen Lied, Gantz, Blood-C, Hakuouki, and I can keep naming them. I've seen pink haired girls with short hair, I've seen brown haired girls with long hair. But if its just based on that...Well then everyone in the world looks alike. What do you suggest? They have to have some kind of color for their hair. Their hair has to have some kind of length. So I'm not sure what you are trying to get at.

I often find myself thinking that characters from different series look a lot alike, but it even happens within the same series, which can get pretty confusing sometimes. But it's pretty funny when you're watching a new anime and you see a character who looks exactly like another character from a different series. Trust me, you'll see this a lot.

Most anime characters look alike. The only differences are hair color (usually colors no human could naturally have) and size.

i agree there are some similarities, but the personalities are completely different.
