How gorey is Battle Royale - the film?

I just learned about Battle Royale from a friend last week, and I really want to see it. However, I read the summary on Wikipedia and it sounds really, really gorey, despite the fact that it also sounds really good.

Is there an English subbed version?
If so, what's it rated?
Is it as gorey as I think it is?

Yes it is very very very gory. If the violence of the movie concern you I suggest not watching. I'm quite tolerant of gory films but this one made my eye twitch...alot. Let me just say that one scene involves a garnade and severed head.

I can't find the official rating for the movie, but I would give it rating of R
The gore is probably worst than what you think it is

I've watched it.

Its not gorey as much as the manga.

its quite good though. I loved it.

You can watched hte subbed version on youtube. I watched it there last year.

it is super gory.
as in,blood spewing everywhere.
even girls shoot each other and couldn't care less about all the blood.
it's very good,though.
i hate gory films,and i almost didn't stand this movie,but i have to say that it became one of my favorite films of all time.:)

it's rated R.
