Do you think it is fair for Jay Cutler to be so angry?
This is a man who has never won a playoff game. I believe the term franchise qb is thrown around too loosely. Ryan Leaf, Alex Smith, Matt Leinart, etc....Jay Cutler is far from a bust so far and is a respectable qb, but he is far from being a franchise like brady or manning. So do you believe Jay Cuter has a right to be so angry with talks of a trade?

NO!!! he has absolutely no right... I'm from denver and I didn't like that pumpkin pie hair cutted prep from the beginning and then he said he was way better than john elway ever was... That's just crossing the line right there.... So Bye bye cutler we won't miss ya there's always more and better qb's out there

If i was told that I was going to be the franchise QB, then this new head coach and must i add first time NFL head coach allows management to put me on the trading block. I will be upset. I would be P off. This is a man that is better than the one year wonder Matt cassel. I hate people that crown a player from one year. Look at Deric Anderson in Cleveland he was a pro bowl player two seasons ago, last season he played so horrible he lost his job to a second year QB. The broncos were dumb for even thinking of something like that. And they better be happy it didn't go through because Jay cutler has a rocket for a arm and is very accurate. This dude went to Vanderbilt for college. And they sucked back then. He even was the player of the year in that division.

Yes. How would it be ok for a franchise that gave you their full trust and support, and then all of a sudden trade you for someone that is overrated? It is true he never won a playoff game, but he has done well for his time in Denver. The only problem was the terrible system that Shannahan implemented. He has a right to be upset when the organization disrespected him. It was as if he didn't matter to them like he did when they drafted him. He was supposed to be and should be the future. Rather than trade him away without notice, he should have the opportunity to compete for the job or at least keep it until he isn't worthy of the starting position. Now as it stands he is still their QB because Daniels said he won't trade him, but it was a mess in Denver and I agree with Cutler's sentiments. It was wrong and it should have been handled better.

First of all YES he should be pist. McDUMASS has not even given CUTLER a chance to prove himself on the field.
YOU said that he has not won a playoff game and thats because the Broncos D couldnt prevent other teams from scoring. . He did his best to keep his team wining but in the end its to much to handle for one guy. Every QB needs help from the D. Peyton,Brady,Roethlisberger,Eli all have a top 10 D. These were Cutlers stats in 08. 4,526yds, 25TD, 18INT, completed 62% of his passes. And this is were the BRONCOS ranked in deffense. 30th in points allowed, 29th in yards allowed per game, 26th againts the pass, and 27th againts the run.
Now for McDUMASS. This guy comes in to the BRONCOS organization trying to fix something that does not need fixing(The Broncos Offense). I would be so gratefull coming to a NO.2 offense it would make my job a lot easier. Then tries to trade Cutler who has proven that he can be great for Cassel who had ONE good year. I understand that he wants someone who already knows his system BUT AT LEAST GIVE CUTLER A CHANCE TO GET ON THE FIELD AND PROVE HE CAN RUN THE SYSTEM BETTER. McDUMASS hasnt even been on the field with Cutler yet. This shows me one thing and that is McDUMASS IS NOT UP FOR THE CHALLENGE on teaching a NEW TEAM.
I hope this answers your question.

He has been with the same coach since being drafted, the coach was fired and the new coach wants someone else. The coach made a huge mistake and if this is how he will run the organization then the broncos will be looking up at the raiders and the chokers will rule the AFC weak for the foreseeable future.
He has a right to be upset, I would be. He will cool off accept the business side of the game and move ahead but the future does not look bright for the broncos who used to be a class organization.

On one hand, Cutler should be angry about the trade rumors because he is the leader of the team. He may not be a "franchise" QB, but he is young QB who has been successful in his short career and has shown to be a leader, and those types of QBs are hard to find and are in high demand. Anyhow, Cutler has the right to be angry because this his team. If Ben Rothlesburger (sp?) was all of a sudden on the trading block, we would expect him to be angry also. Right?
On the other hand, Cutler was vocal about his feelings regarding the firing of Mike Shannahan. He also expressed his feelings about wanting to be traded because of the coaching change. So, he shouldn't be surprised when his name comes up in trade proposals.

I do think that he has a right to be angry. Jay has been with the Broncos for a long time and just since there is new management he is getting phased out for another new commer Matt Cassel, before Cassesl signed with the Cheifs there was talk that he would to go the Broncos. (Do I need to add that Cassel is not a playoff quaterback?) But since the Cassel deal obviously did not work out I think its stupid to get rid of a qualified quaterback that McDaniels can mold into what he wants.

I don't blame Denver for listening to offers. They did not initiate the trade talks, only listened. Cutler has every right to be a little miffed but he'll soon learn that the NFL is a business and he is merely an employee. Cutler and McDaniels are meeting this week to patch things up.

he's dissatisfied on account that they had a commerce in place, that could've sent him to Tampa & they could've ended up getting Matt Cassel. the recent coach got here from New England & is obviously extra mushy with Cassel. They then denied all of it, so Cutler does not have confidence the recent coach or the GM. They needed him back in for a head to head assembly, yet he has refused. i do no longer blame him for being dissatisfied. he's been very reliable for a pair of years now in Denver. yet soccer is a company and he will might desire to recover from it. If he performs properly, the coach will love him & he will have proved himself to be the chief of the group. prevailing treatments each thing.

It's a job, and he should be happy he has one. If he doesn't want to be put on the trading block, he should play better.
So in 5 years, if Cutler is the best QB in the league, he is up for free agency will he stay in Denver if he has an offer for ten million a year more for another team?
Source(s): Well after reading all of these answers, I can see why the economy is tanking. Hey, we have a chance to put in a better person for the job, but since the current guy isn't pulling his weight, why not keep him anyway and lose money. There isn't a player out there that would never get traded(money and cap issues aside) The Colts would trade Peyton Manning in a heart beat if they thought it would give them a better chance to win.
