First off, i think you should broaden your mind a teeny bit, no offense. I think the reason there are African American scholarships and grants is because they've been discriminated against for so long, even now. Most people don't do it intentionally by any means, it just happens- like women getting payed less than men... Men aren't TRYING to have the women get payed less, it just happens. So I think it's ok to give a boost to African Americans because its naturally harder to make a living if you have dark skin- Im not blaming anyone, its just a fact.

I agree with the ending racism though, I mean we should eliminate labels all together. People are too diverse in their backgrounds to live up to just one specific country, and where do we decide to end the ancestral line? People from Europe didn't just appear there, they came from the middle east thousands of years ago... i think the whole thing about race is silly. I have no problems against heritage or beliefs, I just think they shouldnt be based on how you look.

It's actually not racist. It's called Equal Opportunity.

Equal Opportunity means that people of a minority race are offered the same opportunities as those of the majority. The grants are provided to minority groups as they have less opportunities available to them without the grants.

The more grants available to minority groups, the more representation they have in society as they come to contribute in a meaningful way to the community through stronger work choices.

Because their population is less than other skin colors, mostly white; it's a numbers thing. African American charities serve African Americans. Is that a mystery?

its not racism that you seem to have a problem with, its the word minority. look it up. they are a minority because there are more white people than black in this country. they are because of the definition of the word.

It is racist. But it is racist against everyone else. So that is ok. Hypocritical much!
