yahoo Tournament "All Star" chess costs?

Hi, I see it costs 59/ year per person. Here's the problem: I'm a teacher on a micro budget and would like to create a tournament place for my students to play on fridays. I emailed yahoo a few years ago about this but now I can't figure out how to email them. I think they have an educational discount. I'm hoping they still do because there is no way I can get kids to pay that much each for 1 hour a week. I like the private tournament because it's safer for kids and they play each other. I know I can turn off chat feature for them to make it safer but that still would not give us our very own room so they only play each other. Also, I have to create 200 student's id's in Yahoo - that would take a while. Any easier solution? We play on boards too but I really like how yahoo games shows them their available choices If you know of another on-line game or even single or network installation software that also shows possible moves this may work too. Thanks for any helpful tips.

Update:

I like the idea of free tournaments at Kurnik but it won't let me yet as I'm a new player - how long do I need to wait to make them? I also like that you don't have to have a valid email, great for students who don't want to give or have that information. But, it does not seem to show your moves like yahoo does. It is snappy, fast chance to play whereas I wait sometimes at yahoo longer. I'll check this out

Still reading my first reply to see about it.

    Yahoo Tournament "All Star" chess costs (to ask about the educational discount):

    Ask (technical and) billing questions about web games (ex. ...Chess...)

    at this link: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/games/general.htm...

    The "Topic" drop-down menu's first choice is "All-Star / Leagues".

    The "Topic" drop-down menu's second choice is "Billing Question".

    Source(s):

    Contact - Yahoo! Help

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/games/forms_index...

    Yahoo! Games All-Star Package

    http://games.yahoo.com/games/star1

    I don't see any way around creating 200 student's id's.

    That would take a while. Bury your head and do it, I guess.

    Any easier solution? Get a trusted volunteer to help you.

    Each student UserID will require an alternate e-mail address.

    I suggest to create a teacher's Yahoo! UserID and try using the same

    teacher's Yahoo! UserID for each student ID's alternate e-mail address.

    That could help with any lost and forgotten student passwords.

    Alternative(s):

    A reputable site, at which I play chess, is http://www.chess.com/

    Play Chess Online for Free - Chess.com. The ICC is also excellent.

Chess? while the main taxing interest you probable have ever sweated over is Checkers! And if basically feminist theorists had Wikipedia to fall decrease back on we would not be consistently thwarted by making use of the startling revelations laid out by making use of those behemoth like male intellects!
