Confused about HPV......help please!!!!?
I had 2 plantars warts on the bottom of my foot. Went to ER when I could not walk 1 day. I was reading today that those are a form of HPV. I had a bout with kidney stones and today I saw blood in my urine. I have a rash for the past week. Started out one small spot (pea) and looked like ring worm. I went to the pharmacy and they said Lamisil would work the best. It is not working, its spreading....now I have numerous pea sized spots. The first one was on my boob and now they are on my back sides and stomach!!
Please help......

First of all HPV, kidney stones and ring worm are all different things and thus have different causes. HPV is a virus caused by the strains 1, 2, 4 or 64 of the human papillomavirus. They are usually self limiting and nothing to be concerned about.
Kidney stones have a variety of causes and are more than likely the cause of the blood in your urine.
Ring worm is a fungal infection and is highly contagious. It normally begins with a small red spot, blister or rash. It can itch or burn but not always. Lamisil works very well but it takes a while to work, usually about a week of once a day application. Because it is a fungus it is easily spread. If you have touched or scratched the area and then touched other areas of your body you could easily have spread it. I would recommend going to your doctor to rule out an allergic reaction of some sort. You could simply have contact dermatitis.
As far as whether or not you can get either plantars warts or ringworm from the general public the answer is absolutely. Plantars warts can be contracted from wet surfaces such as showers and swimming pools. Ring worm can be contracted from skin to skin contact or shared things such as towels etc.
