Are the new talking points from the White House saying that Rush is "just an entertainer"?

It seems that all the talk of Rush being the head of the party has nearly disappeared since Rush challenged Obama to a debate yesterday.

Update:

Sounds like all the talk about Rush being the head of the party has been thrown down the memory hole. Isn't the head of the opposition party someone worth debating?

You're a complete idiot if you really believe that a PRESIDENT would go on and debate a two bit Master Baiter like that blowhorn. This ain't Jerry Springer vs the WWF or some crazy TV show. You people need to really stop being so retarded. He's "just an entertainer" when you want him to be. But any other time, he's speaking your language lol. The language of hate, bitterness, fear mongering, and whines and cries lol.

There is little chance of Obama ever debating Rush Limbaugh. But, boy, would that be something. No, these very Liberal advisers Obama has are in way over their heads with Rush Limbaugh. From the "Do you want the President to fail?" trap they tried to spring to trying to tie the Republican Party to him as if that would diminish the party.

These guys are pikers. This is Rush Limbaugh! He is not only a very good communicator and brilliant strategist, he is also something that no Liberal can ever stand up to. He is a genuine, real, rock-ribbed Conservative.

If Obama is smart, which I am beginning to doubt, he would stay as far away from Rush Limbaugh or any other real Conservative as he can. Rush and the rest of the Conservatives have way too much on thier side. They have reality, truth, the Constitution, the Founding Fathers and the spirit and dedication that is America.

A debate between Obama and Limbaugh would be the end of the whole house of cards that Socialism has build over the last half-century in America.

Rush has never held a public office.

All of the cells in the body of "Rush" have long since been diverted to worship his mouth, in which he uses to eat, complain, and sustain a living on AM radio. Other than his professional ability to whine, there is nothing to Rush at all.

I am not sure of your point but Rush him self says he is not a politician but just a entertainer.

And Rush challenging Obama(if true) is just Rush blowing smoke. Everyone knows Rush never has guest who oppose his point of view. He also knows nobody from the White House is going to waste their time dealing with him.Plus Rush deals mostly in half truths.

A prime example of this is the story of the women getting 2 million from Mc Donald's for burning her self with a cup of coffee.

No. If rush isn't that republican paryt leader, then why did michael steele apologize to "just an entertainer" for speaking the truth about him?

Rush is not an "entertainer". He is a loud mouth, pill popping, lard butt. But not an entertainer.

Rush is quite a character. but he also IS "just an entertainer" he makes his money by raising issues that attract people to his show. and if you havent noticed.. he has a TON of listeners now lol.. hes doing his job quite well. I bet hes getting a nice paycheck lol.

No. The new talking points from the White House are trying to convince Americans that Obama knows what he is doing.

I thought Steele was the one that said that.

I looked it up... yes it was in fact steele
