HOW TO MAKE A PICTURE AN ICON?
I have my music and my films on my hard drive, with the covers on the fronts of the folders, but i want to know how to make the music folders look like albums and the film folders look like dvds, or at least have the picture fill the folder, please.

Photobucket, Flickr (use your yahoo password to login) or you make your own by cropping it w/ and image editing program, such as GIMP. Then just do what the others suggested, by setting it as the thumbnail, through the Properties Menu.

Open My Computer, Click on folder options and go on to Advanced tab. Un check Hide Extension for known file types. And click OK. After that, just rename the picture files that you want to convert to icons.
i.e.
If the file is called square.jpg, rename to square.ico

Just get the picture and save it as whatever u wanna call it.ico
the .ico part makes it an icon file.

right click folder > properties > customize > change icon > browse for your photo
