Should we find it hard to believe that President Obamas budget will double foreign aid?

President Obama’s 2010 budget seeks to double U.S. aid payments to other countries despite a $1.75 trillion deficit and the worst recession in over a quarter of a century. http://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/obama_foreign_aid...

What could he be thinking?

Update:

We know already that $900 Million is going to HAMAS.

When Obama and Biden's Global Poverty Act is signed and the 840 Billion is sent to the UN for Foreign Aid ear marked for Africa then expect a MAJOR increase in the budget. Under this Act The UN will impose an ongoing .7 percent tax on the US gross national product for foreign Aid.

The taxpayer will have an international tax imposed on them to go along with all of the Federal, State, County and City Taxes.

    EDIT---------

If it never gets paid back as you say then how can it be a good investment.

Apparently it will be done at the expense of the military with the objective being to pay off countries so they will pretend to like us. The problem with that approach is that when you pay a bully not to be a bully they become bigger bullies. ...and since our military will have been gutted by then we will be at the mercy of whoever and whenever. Obama is a fool, but the ones who vote for this scheme are even bigger fools.

Think that they are going to divert some of that money into untraceable foreign bank accounts, denominated to gold, silver, precious stones and foreign currency; all in anonymous bearer accounts?

This is just in-case they have to flee the Country, FAST!

He's not thinking. He is going to push through his agenda regardless how it will impact the nation. When it all falls apart and we are in a true depression then he'll just blame Bush and say he hasn't had enough time to change things. After four years has gone by and things still aren't looking up hopefully those who voted for him will have learned from their mistakes!

No, I'm not surprised. We get loans from Red China so we can give it away to everyone. Only a liberal would think there is nothing wrong with this.

I don't know if it will double; but I anticipate a reallocation to areas previously receiving aid from the KSA

Read your article: "Complete details of Obama’s foreign-policy budget won’t be released until April, so exactly how much aid the administration plans to dole out, and which countries will get it, remains unknown. "

Find it hard to believe , absolutely not . What would be hard to believe is if he was doing anything at all to help America and Americans . Now that would be news .
