What is the best running shoe?

I have started working out. I have been doing quite a bit of jogging and my shins hurt so bad!

You probably have "shin splints." Make sure you loosen up your ankles and stretch well before you run. It has to do with the tendons in your ankles and the muscles in your calves and shins. If you just started running a lot, shin splints can happen in new programs. The key behind not getting shin splints is definitely the ankle rotations.

My cross country and track coach always told us to "spell the alphabet with each foot before running." What he means is to do ankle circles, big and small, in both directions as much as you can. I do it during the day while at my desk, with one leg crossed over the other and dangling. you can also do it while laying on your back, both hands pulling your thigh back and foot dangling in the air. This is the key to not getting shin splints!

Ice the shins after running, as well.

As far a shoes go, everyone is different, but try going to a running specific store. They can help you by analyzing your stride.

    Insoles are good too.

I found my favorite pair of running shoes at Costco for $34 and it was the only option. They are men's adidas adiprenes and the fit like a glove!!

good luck and good for you for running>

I have knee problems but I still run, my doctor recommended New Balance and since I started wearing them I find a huge difference. You can get them on sale for 35 to 45 dollars.

Shoes def. make all the difference, I wear Asics Gels

It doesn't matter about anything else but you need good shoes

and if you've gone out too fast, too far too soon, you're bound to injure yourself so do it slowly and build up your endurance.

I always find Nike Shox the best shoe......but make sure you buy shoes with shox because they help open up your stride a little bit
