Is the world really going to end in 2012?

I was watching this thing on TV about Bible Code. It was scary because it said the world was going to end in 2012. It also said that America would be hit with a big bomb. Is any of this true. Everything they said about the past was very accurate, but what about the future?

Update:

Thanks for wanting to kill me and choke me. LOL

I know this question was asked a bunch of times, I just wanted to know your opinion on it. I don't really think it's going to end this soon (at least I hope)

The world ending: no. let me explain. The Bible says that no one knows the day, time, etc. of the 2nd coming of Christ. However, it's probably going to be towards or near the end of the world going by what the Bible says about what will happen then. So no i doubt the world will end because then. Lots of people think that the world will end then because so many other people say it will. I really doubt it. Read the Book of Revelations. That's just my personal belief in a nutshell.

As far as a big bomb: Who the heck knows, but big bomb these days=a nuke. Look at all the problems we're having with Iran and N. Korea and their nuke programs. I hate to say it but it wouldn't surprise me much if that whole nuclear issue didn't escalate.

And Nostradamus could actually accurately predict the future. If you believe that there is a Bible code, then why don't you believe the passage that says that even the angels of heaven don't know the end?

Edit Add Question: Is there any way to get this question automatically deleted _every_ time it is asked? I'd report it if I could think of a good reason why it should be reported.

Many people said that the world would end at the beginning of 2000 but, nothing happened. It's very easy to read the future once an event is past such as Nostradamus predicting the assassination of J. F. Kennedy and people say " look, that was prophesied in the bible" but, if something is prophesied and doesn't happen it's never heard of again.

Many believe it will be when the expected shift of the Earth's axis occurs. This will not be the Earth flopping upside down, as described by people who see visions. More like moving 5 or 10 degrees. But suddenly, which will cause earthquakes and volcanic eruptions to take place simultaneously all over the Earth. "The sky will be darkened, and the Sun and Moon will not give their light".

Read also Isaiah 24 KJV. 6th Seal in Revelation.

That is when the Great Tribulation, like this world has never seen. Nor ever will again, will take place.

NO. If anyone knew for sure, they would be magical and mystical and have super-powers to know the future. A few pieces of "evidence" from the Bible or any other ancient writing does not prove that the world is going to end. If it came from the Bible it would be contradictory, too, because the Bible says that only The Father knows when the world will end!! (:

No one can accurately predict the future, but DOOMSDAY 2012 seems pretty unlikely

    How is a myth scary?

Most things that were considered accurate were, because they made it so by methods of intimidation, etc.
