How do I use my insurance payment?
I got a damage settlement on ice damage to my house. I can do most of the work myself. Do I need to supply the insurance company with proof that the damage has been fixed and what I spent the settlement on??

Nope....you are not required to show that the work was done. However, if something else gets damaged because you didn't make the proper repairs your claim will be denied.
