I'm not sure what kind of question this really is.
He's won four championships, all under the old points format. If that same format had been kept when Nextel and Sprint took over as the title sponsor, he'd have won two more championships (2004 & 2007).
He's got 6 championships in my book. And if he were to lose the championship this year because of the Chase, I'd be willing to bet that NASCAR might look at tweaking their rules.

Jeff definitely has the potential to win his fifth title and he certainly has the equipment and people to help him do so.I hope that Jeff keeps up this great year and makes a big statement in the Chase, maybe even winning the title.

Absolutely. He is the points leader, so he's obviously doing a good job. Last year was disappointing, but he didn't forget how to drive. He has been running well in every race so far. I think he will end his winless drought soon. And I have noticed that when Jeff wins a race, he seems to get on a winning streak. So when he gets his first win of 2009, the rest of the field better watch out.

Yes Jeff can do it, provided he stops making rookie type mistakes like in Vegas.
Ammunition843 said it best for me!! The drive for 5 really ended in 2004. The "chase" is commercialized robbery, unless you ask a Jimmie fan.

If it wasn't for the chase, the real question should be can Jeff win his 7th title.I think Jeff could win the championship this year. He's leading the points and has been consistent so far.The drive for five has begun.

I believe so. I think he has it in him for at least one more championship before he starts thinking about retiring. The team seems to be working well together and giving Jeff cars that run good all race.

yes i think that jeffy is a good enough driver to win a fifth..........can he in todays nascar...................i dont think so.the points system needs a little bit of work done to it.
was it 2 years ago when Smoke was out of the chase, but accrued enough points to win the championship in the final 10 races.....just the way the points are.
i actually root for the man, which is weird for me,because i could not stand him until recently.

Out of those 5, I say Argentina, yet however Holland is regularly occurring by fact the wonderful team by no ability 2 win the WC. Germany... idk, in the event that they weren't the hosts i'm undecided that they wud have qualified. Equador... i've got merely considered a million of their fits so im undecided... England...the only WC they have "won", the purpose that they "scored" wasn't even a purpose, so puh-leeze, are not getting me began
