why is my yahoo mail not receiving email?

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Java script to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send receive delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. If all else fails go back to classic mail Hope this helps.

A few months ago I didn't get email from anyone for about a week or so, then a bunch of emails all at once. Today am experiencing the same thing, no emails. Couldn't even compose or forward an email, I'm on Windows 8. So, thought maybe I would try my wife's email on my machine - no problem. Then tried my email on an android phone - I could compose and forward. So forwarded one to myself from the android, but haven't received it - using android or Windows 8.

For people experiencing this problem, it isn't a local computer problem. It is Yahoo's continuing decline in every direction you see. Doesn't matter if you are looking at Yahoo's front page, finance page, sports, or email - Yahoo has self destructed. It is sad to see, as I have been using Yahoo & Yahoo mail before it even officially had email service. Luckily I have already set up an account email with gmail, and my own private server. At the same time, don't like seeing Yahoo go down the tubes.

I am not receiving email from a specific person; all others come through. The address being used is correct. She has even tried "reply" to emails I send to her but that does not work either.

Could be you are set to no email, or digest. Check your settings.

Special Notices - Only "Special Notices" sent by the group's moderator are emailed to you.

No Email - Messages are only available to read on the Web.

i am surprised that why is it happening that i am not receiving emails properly in yahoo? is there anybody to tell or shall i shift to another mail provider company?

I haven't received email for three days.
