Unless the dealership itself has a policy, there is no "buyer's remorse" or "right of rescission" in car sales. This goes for both private party and dealer sales.

Folks will come on here and say, "I think you have 3 days, 30 days, etc". Not true in vehicle sales.

There are NO RETURNS! There is no federal law requiring a car dealer or a person selling a car to take a car back. The only exceptions are certain transactions in California that are covered by the California Car Buyers Bill of Rights or where the dealer voluntarily offers to take a car back. Dealers may describe the right to cancel as a "cooling-off" period, a money-back guarantee or a "no questions asked" return policy. Before you purchase from a dealer, ask about the dealer's return policy, get it in writing in the contract and read it carefully.

In some states, you can purchase from the dealer, a right to rescission. If you exercise it, they will charge a restocking fee. There is NO law that provides for this. The 3 day rescission law applies to in home sales contracts ONLY, such as vacuum cleaners. windows, vinyl siding etc. I've seen it happen, but it is extremely rare that a dealer will take a vehicle back.

Simply put, no. Car sales are final. You didn't buy a pair of pants from Walmart, you bought a car. You signed a contract, unless it states in that contract that you can return the car, then you can't. There is no right for a buyer to cancel a valid car deal. not ever, not in any state, new or used, it doesn't matter.

Some dealers will let you return a car within so many days and mileage. But you would have been told about it and signed paper work about it. If not its yours

Usually there is a three day period to allow you to change your mind and void the deal.

Over that time, if you have to keep taking it back for repeat repairs ask the dealer if you need to get a lawyer for some satisfaction.

If you want to take it back because the ashtray is full, too bad.

    Wrong.

    Usually not.

If you need proof, use the search feature here and search all the other threads about cooling off period and buyers remorse...

Anyway, OP, enjoy your new purchase. Federal law says you pretty much have to.

If it was sold as is, then no you won't be able to return it. Unless the dealership really likes you.
