What's the cheapest way to get Microsoft Word?
I bought my wife a laptop and she needs Microsoft Word. She doesn't care about Excel and Powerpoint, but buying the "office" package seems to be the cheapest route to go with Microsoft. It just doesn't seem right paying $150 for a typing program.
The laptop doesn't have a CD ROm drive, so ideally I'd like to download a copy of word somewhere and not pay a fortune.
Any recommendations?

Word is not a standalone product. It comes with Office.
A free alternative that works with all MS Office files is Open Office.
Get it here:
