Women's rights during and before the Industrial Revolution?

Hey, I'm doing a project on Women's Rights during the Industrial Revolution. (18th/19th century.)

I get that they didn't have many rights, and received way less pay than men. What I can't seem to find is when their rights actually did change.

It'd be very helpful if anyone could provide information or links.

Thank you!

Women's rights were limited during the 18th/19th century, though so were the rights of many men (most men did not get the vote in the UK until the late 19th century, for instance).

In the UK and the USA, various acts were passed during the 19th century giving married women property rights, and the right to sue for divorce in certain circumstances (previously, only men could initiate divorce). In the USA, some western states gave women the vote in the late 19th century, starting with Wyoming in 1869 (western states hoped to attract female settlers, there was a shortage of them in the west). Women got the vote all over the USA in 1920. In the UK, women over thirty got the vote in 1918, and women over 21 in 1928.

Prospects for women's education improved in the course of the 19th century. There were more girls schools which offered girls a comparable academic education to boys, and girls started going to college from about 1870. By 1880, women made up a third of all college students in the USA.

In the early 19th century, teaching was the main job available to eductaed women. There were more careers open to women in thecourse of the century, nursing became a respectable job for women from the 1850s, and women were entering the medical profession. Women became librarians, the Library Assocation called them 'the best of listeners' in 1876. The invention of the typewriter led to a great many women being employed in offices, it was found that women made better typists than men.

Women's pay remained poor in comparison to men in most occupations until well into the 20th century. Ane exception was the West. In 'America's Women' Gail Collins writes:

'The labor shortage in the early West wiped out the normal rules about what jobs were appropriate for women. They worked as barbers and advertised their services as doctors, lawyers, and real estate agents. Nellie Pooler Chapman took over her husband's dental practice in nevada City, California. "A smart woman can do very well in this country" wrote one young woman to a friend back east. "It is the only country I was ever in where woman received anything like a just compensation for work."

Although none of your guy friends will ever admit it. Rejection is among the biggest reasons a guy won't method a female he's thinking about conference therefore for this reason Joshua Pellicer guide from here https://tr.im/cIots is the better guide for this kind of people since it'll teach them how to manage it.

Every man can learn from Joshua just how to use the correct gestures to strategy, and the easiest way to start a girl and maybe not get rejected and after this, the ‘road of relationship'– The Tao of Badass's step-by-step strategy for picking right up girls.

That is vital material because the earlier you are able to place a lady loves you, the faster you can start escalating the attraction and getting sexual.
