My budget and weather for a trip to Ireland?
I am thinking of taking a trip to Ireland in May and I have 3 questions.
1) What is the weather like?
2) should $100 a day be sufficient for 2 people to have a pretty good time.
3) Is the either the Clontarf Castle or the Fitzpatrick Castle any good to stay at.
Keep in mind we are just looking to kind of lay around and relax with just a bit of sightseeing mixed in

Okay weather is just so hard to predict, i recommend you wear jeans, t-shirt, jumper and an insulated rain coat. - good walking shoes!!
Dublin and Ireland is quite expensive, Il give you an indication of the cost of things here...bottel of water cheapest 1.20, Mars Bar 1.00 - Sandwich and a Cup of Tea 6-10 euro, A starters at a meal -6-euro, Main cources meal 7-15 euro, Dessert 3-6 euro!! Alcoholic drinks cost anything between 4-7 euro in a bar!!!
I recommend you take the Hop on hop off bus i think a day ticket cost approx 10-15 euro, to visit the Guinness Store House price approx. 8-14 euro depending on age!!
I also heard that the Berkely Court is doing great deals do a search on Dublin Hotels - send an email enquiring about prices u may be able to bargain at this particular moment!!!
Have a great time, hopefully the weather will be nice, but sure if it is lashing rain make the most of it....and drop in to the pubs to warm up and the go out again hehehehe

The weather is unpredictable in May although it is starting to come into the summer at that time so there should be some good days at least, I would bring clothing for all eventualities.
$100 a day in my opinion would not be enough. I would say you would need that amount each. ($100 = €79)
Both hotels look good but Clontarf Castle looks more convenient to the city centre (keep in mind taxi charges!)

the weather is completely unpredictable.id bring rain jackets anyway.it usually is the sunniest month in ireland but there are exceptions and better to be safe than sorry.100 euro is a meal for two in a not pricey but nice restaurant ,drinks are much more expensive than the rest of the country.Try the Berkely Court Hotel.20euro a night.an its either four or five stars.definitely wont get better than that in not only Dublin but Ireland
