Honestly, who is the best?

hi THAMARA i am INDIAN,,,,,,, i am telling you what i really feel,,and that is not at all biased,,,1. in ODI's there is a stiff neck to neck fight between SA and INDIA for no.1 slot, and we will get to know who is better when both these countries will play against each other on a neutral venue,but i think the SA are better because of the way they made a mess of aussies in their own backyard earlier this year,,and performance of india against australia is not that good(except for the CB series one year ago,india have lost more matches in previous four years to australia then they have won, but now they(indians) are improving),,,,,,,,,in test matches the AUSSIES are the best(but they will soon be replced by india,,,when india will win few test series against NZEALAND and WINDIES and they will),,,,,,,,,,in t20 format its really depends who is more luckier and there are no official ratings so i think INDIA is the current champion and best (but their recent performance was not good in NZ),,,,,,,hope it gave you what u were looking for(unbiased opinion)cheers and yes i wish your srilankan team a speedy recovery,,,bye have a nice day.....

The best way is too look at the current rankings... mind you which ever way you look at Australia, India and South Africa are a long way in front of the others.

I would like to see the Lankans do better now that I am living here. The first class season has basically finished and in my opinion needs a major overhaul if Sri Lanka is going to produce more world class players. I would like to see it more regionalised with teams in Kandy, Galle, Anuradpura even Jaffna.

Sri Lanka Cricket has to get its act together and stop being pushed around by the government. Australia, New Zealand and England base their first class teams around regions and not one city.

Honestly yesterday Australia,Today India.

After winning the last home test against SA and probably the first two in SA, Australia is on top, followed by SA then India. India's problem is that they cannot beat the good sides away from India. With SA they only drew the series in India.

According to me,the rankings should be like this..

Tests :

Australia

India

Southfrica

ODI's :

SouthAfrica

India

Australia

EDIT : i'm an Indian, and i think Indian team is doing well at present (actually Indian team is better than SA and Australia,but i dont care about other teams ,for me India team and its performence matters,so i'll accept India as World Champions if India defeats SA in SA)

First of all, there is nothing wrong in saying your country is the best in the world. 'Best' is a relative word with so many meanings.

If you take in to account recent performances

Australia is the best team, followed by India and SA.

And, while you don't expect biased answers, your q is too biased, or haven't you noticed it?
