Who is the better bowler Murali or Warne?

Murali- simply cos warne would usually get to bowl at middle order and tail enders.

Murali would be mostly required to bowl at the opening batsman due to the lack of penetration of the sri lankan quickies...

On paper Murali has a better strike rate and average but Warne gains ground in almost every other consideration.

Career achievements, Warne played for one of the greatest teams ever.

Quality of opposition: Australia played often against top teams England, South Africa, India etc while Sri Lanka have more games against decent teams like Pakistan and poor teams like Bangladesh.

Pitches: most of Warnes games were on Aussie pitches which are mostly batsmen friendly flat tracks or pitches that favour fast bowlers yet he still had a great record.

Also when looking at the ability of each player to perform in clutch situations Warne won games single handedly (06 Ashes Adelaide) several times in his career and would take wickets in the last ball of days and sessions very often while Murali tends to perform similarly in every situation.

Warne was also a great captain, even though he never had the role he always had a say in field placings

I think on this basis Warne has to be rated the more influential of the two players although people cant be criticised for favouring Murali because its so close

But I like both vey much. Murali in particular.Smiling Assassin. He will be the first bolwer to reach 1000 Wkts in Single format of the game. Kudos Murali. As a bowler Warne is the best. As a Cricketer, Murali is Decent and best cricketer

Warne became into way better and continuously would be. Murali continuously gets thousands of inexpensive wickets coz srilanka tend to play the no longer so stable components extra many times than the stable ones. Murali doesnt have a great checklist against the particularly some better components like Australia and South Africa. Warne performed stable against absoultely all human beings no longer basically components like Bangladesh and Pakistan and so on.

But where is he except in the IPL. Murali is a sincere player. May not be as flamboyant; But has all the stats with him.

Murali could rarely do anything against Australia or other decent sides, and sorry but i will refer to stats, his 'legendary' wicket taking hauls have been against teams that Australia dont even bother playing against. Warne doesnt chuck it either. Warney all the way (He wouldve been Aussie captain if it werent for him being a dckhead off the field)
